Soapbox Sunday: Alexa Rating
Ok, I will admit, I don't know a whole lot about this whole Alexa rating thing other than I should care because I am supposed to have a low score.
What happened to the good old fashion "Do you like me? Check YES or NO" note. Or better yet, hey you like me? Great. Click the Follow Me button.
What's next? An Olympic sport? And the Gold for Top Blogger goes too....
Blargh. That's what I say to it. But, of course, as soon as I finish this I will start researching how to get my score where it "should be".
......sigh......

FANTASTIC Friday: CrittersforCoryn
Let me start out by saying these words are my own. I was not asked to write this, nor did they know I was writing this until I published it and shared the post with them.
This happy post comes to your from another one of my reader's Etsy shops. See, I love you guys. If I know you have a shop, I shop!
In case you don't know, I LOVE turtles. I mean, I own two live ones and I tend to collect anything turtle I come across. To kinda get off topic here just for a sec, but I have a happy turtle family that "lives" under my kitchen window.
The first little guy (left to right) is an Avon bottle my Father and Mother-in-Law surprised me with, the next one came from Bath and Body Works and you are supposed to put him on a soap bottle but he found himself a home on the ledge and never moved, then the next little guy was a yard sale find, and lastly the big one is a candle holder by Mother-in-Law found at a yard sale and she gave me when I expressed how much I liked it.
Ok, sorry, back to the point....
So, I was browsing around on Etsy and I came across a shop called CrittersforCoryn. Wanna know what I found??
That is an Easter basket that my husband found at bought for me. Of course, it was never used as an Easter basket. It sat on my chest of drawers next to bed. Now, it houses my little Tabitha Turtle.
So, thank you CrittersforCoryn and I assure you Tabitha Turtle is very happy.
Do you have an Etsy shop? Link it in the comments! I wanna shop (and maybe you can be my next FAN)!!!!

Dawn's Disaster Candle Swap
I got a yummy candle from Tricia over at Today with the Tennerys for this years Candle Swap by Dawn's Disaster. It has made my house smell sooooo yummy.
Tricia also included a note telling me to make cornbread after the candle was gone and to never forget the south.
Love it! Thank you Tricia!

Tunes on Tuesday: Sound of Pulling Heaven Down by Blue October
Just a quick note about this song. This is my second favorite song and, unfortunately, it has gotten associated with Twilight. I knew of this song WAY before I ever knew what Twilight was. No, I am NOT a Twihard. Yes, I have read the books. Yes, I have seen the movies (ONCE). No, I am not a fan. This is an amazing song by an amazing band and it doesn't need the fame of Twilight to make it amazing.

Soapbox Sunday: 'Tis the Season
Well, its been a long week.
We've been having some "hiccups" at work and I am applaud at the way people have handled it.
Without going into a lot of detail, we launched a new website and we have ran into a lot of unexpected issues.
The public outcry to the issues have been unflipingbelievable.
People have gone onto our website and made such comments how we all should be fired, be ashamed of ourselves, and drug into the street and shot.
Really? What kind of hatred do you have in your soul that would warranty such words on a public forum? I know the words were spoken in anger and frustration but we are in an age where you can no longer say words like that.
If it were up to me, the author would be permabanned from the site.

It’s not just with my work either. I was in the
convenience store earlier trying to purchase me a drink to bring with me
to work and the man in front of me, unhappy with the answer he got from
the cashier, looked at him and said, “I hope
you get robbed and shot tonight.”
I was so applaud that someone could wish that on
a complete stranger that tears came to my eyes. I just can’t fathom
the idea that a person has that much hatred and unhappiness in their
being, could inflicted such cruel words to another
human being.
It’s madness!
I think the whole population has taken a side road into crazy town.
