FANtastic Friday: WoW, I've BOO-ed, Punkins (with recipes), and McDonald's Codes

First off, this post is going to be all over the place, but that's how my brain is working today.

I am having one of these days:

I am huge fan of World of Warcraft. I've been playing since The Burning Crusade Launched. My best friend (the same one who just so happened to get me hooked on blogging) got me into it.  (My, my, my, the BFF has created a monster.)

It has taken me a bit to get into this new expansion.  I was one of the last ones in my guild to hit 90, but I sure have had fun with my little farm.  Yes, you can essentially play Farmville in WoW now.

I won't talk about the game anymore (but trust me, I could) because I know a lot of people don't care about it.  If you do play, I have created a nice little cheat sheet for working on Tiller's rep and the Panda World cooking achievements.  I am more than happy to share.

Here is my little WoW baby and then I am moving on:

I came across this delightful webpage and the little hamster that lives in my brain started running on its wheel.  You print out this cute little poem and attach it to a treat and leave it either at a neighbor's house or on your co-worker's desk.  They have separate poems for either one.

I work weekend graves so I am the only one here on the call floor, so I thought what  lovely idea!  I printed out 12 of the office poems, attached them to lunch brown paper bags, put some candy in each, and tied it up with a black cord.  I then went around and stuck them on random desk so when they come in Monday morning, they will find their Boo bags waiting on them.

After they get their boo bags, they are supposed to go to the website and print out the poem to make their own boo bags.

The poem has two sides to it.  One side has the poem and directions on how to continue the game and then the other side has a ghost that says that they have been booed that you put in your window or at your desk (depending on which poem you print out) so you do not boo the same person twice.    I am curious to see when everyone gets back on Monday if the boo bags are well received and if people chose to play along.  Here are pictures of my boo bags.  I put the poem on one side and the ghost on the other and left them on desks with the poem facing them.  I am sorry to say the picture I snapped of the ghost side did not turn out very well, but you can get the idea.

**10/23/2012**  Its Monday after I handed out my boo bags and I must say it makes me giggle like a school girl to walk around and see the people who hung their boo ghosts up in their cubicle.

I am glad to see people actually found it entertaining.  I think I would have had my feelings very hurt if I came in to work to find a bunch of boo bags in the trash.

Here is a picture I snapped of one of the cubicles with the boo ghost hanging up:

I am in love with Brach's marshmallow pumpkins (or as they are called in my house, punkins).  You know, these things:

It is a tradition in my house to buy at least one bag of these things every Halloween (I have the same tradition with Cadbury Easter Eggs at Easter).

I am trying to be a good girl and stick to my diet so I am posting the nutritional (ha) values to remind myself how bad these things are for me!

I might not be able to eat them, but that doesn't mean I can't tempt you! Here are some recipes using either candy corn or pumpkins that I found on Farley's and Sathers Candy Company.  There are loads more yummy recipes to check out! If anyone makes any of these, please tell me if they are any good! You can click on the image and it will pop up in a window.  You can save it from this window.

Lastly, I have very much been enjoying playing McDonald's Monopoly online.  I have no idea why.  The simplest things amuse me so!

When you order certain things at McD's, you get a play piece with a random Monopoly property or an instant win item.  On the bottom of these tabs, there is a code you can play on the website and its these codes I have been playing online.

People here at work will bring them to me because they don't want them.  So far, I have accumulated 5 hotels online.

If you have codes you don't want, email (lifeoftab@hotmail.com) them my way. I'll take them!

Sorry for the extremely long post, but I did warn you!!!

It is currently 3:37 AM (MST) and I can barely keep my eyes open, so please forgive typos.  After I have had some sleep, I will proof-read it and make corrections.
