Review: Pine Bros Softish Throat Drops

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I was given the opportunity to review Pine Brothers Softish Throat Drops, wild cherry flavor.  Unlike other throat drops, these are soft, gummies and feel much better in your mouth when you are sick.

The flavor is very pleasant.  They do not have the fake sugary taste like other cough drops.

They are available in a bag of 32 drops or a round container of 26 drops.

Pine Brothers have been in business since 1870.  Visit their webpage at Pine Brothers and their Facebook page.

As most of you know, I am being treated for leukemia/bone marrow transplant and my insurance requires me to have a care giver at all times.  My Dad is my current caregiver and he has been having some trouble with the change of the weather coming from AL to AZ and is having really hard time with coughing.  I gave him the round container of drops so he could keep it in his back pocket.  He has stopped coughing and is amazed at how fast they worked.

Contest to resume soon!! (and some updates)

On February 15, 2014 marked the one year anniversary of my diagonals date.

It was my intention to write and document everything, but it just didn't happen.  I regret it.  I wish I would have written down all my thoughts and feelings through this whole process.

Well, so, what's up now?  I'm still at the hospital.  My body is not making its own platelets and no one can seem to figure out why.  I am having to get frequent infusions of blood and platelets. I am 100% cancer free!!!

I am in the process of doing some things to my blog and then I am going to start up my ugly jewelry contest again, so keep on the look out!  I've already got the piece picked out! Its not a great picture, because I used my cell phone, but I will have more soon.  I am very excited to start up my contest and to start blogging again.  I have missed it so much.

I don't have an estimated date as of yet when they think I will be able to go home.  Having so little platelets in my body, is very dangerous and they want to keep me close in case of a bleed.  It certainly has been a very long journey.

I am also sad to report that my husband and I separated.  This is all I am going to say on this subject.

As part of my insurance requirements, I am required to have a caregiver with me at all times.  My dad came out and spend three weeks with me and we went to the local mall to goof off and give me a much needed break.  We stumbled across a shop that sold extra, extra large version of candy.

Please note.  Between the chemo and the radiation, my hands tend to shake.  They don't know if its permanent or if it will go away just yet.  Because of this, my pictures tend to turn out blurry and out of focus.  Not much I can do about it other than hope its only temporary and will eventually stop.

I love Nerds, so when I saw this little guy, I could not resist.

I am currently on 22 medications.   I feel like a pharmacy. I have to take them three times a day.  The issue I am facing now are the co-pays.  My insurance requires me to pay 80% of name brand meds and my cancer meds only have name brand.  One med alone has a co-pay of $451.00.  I don't know how people do it.

Hang on just a little longer!  I'm going to get everything up and going again and start posting and doing contests.

Thanks to everyone who has stayed with me this long!

FANtastic Friday: BzzAgent

BzzAgent is one of my favorite websites.   You fill out surveys and they match you with items that they think you will enjoy and you get to sample them for free.  So far, I have been participated in 13 campaigns.  Participation is simple.

You log in periodically and check to see if you have any surveys.  These surveys are very short, usually about five questions.  Bzz then takes the answers and if they determine you are a good match, they will send you an email and invite you into the campaign.  You have the choice to accept or deny.  If you chose to accept, they will then send you the product and usually coupons to share with friends and family.

After you get the item and try it, there is another survey to fill out where they will ask you how you felt about the product, if you told anyone about the product, did you hand out the coupons, etc.

They have now paired with MyPoints and they will award you MyPoints depending on how they felt your review was written.

You are awarded a BzzScore. The higher your BzzScore, the more campaigns you will be invited to participate in.

The BzzScore will change depending on your activity.

This is what BzzAgent have to say:

"Connecting people and their favorite brands since 2001, BzzAgent is the leading social marketing company. What's that mean to you? We put products in the hands of hundreds of thousands of real consumers and help them share their opinions about them with friends and family via reviews, Facebook posts, photos and videos, blog posts and more. We wouldn't call ourselves heroes, but it's okay if you want to."

This is the latest item I was sent to try out.

First of all, I would like to say that the smell is amazing!

I was given the body wash to try.  When my package arrived, the first thing I did was to pop open the lid and take a big whiff.  The smell is not overbearing.  It does not make you want to leave the room because its too strong.  The smell also lasts.  With some body washes, the smell only  lasts a short amount of time.  This one stays with you.  People have stopped me to ask what perfume I was wearing.

It does not leave a residue on your body.  I have hard water and I came out of the shower feeling clean and very refreshed.

All pictures was taken from BzzAgent
